Regionally, our partnership with the African Union has been instrumental in organizing the participation of young people in the African Union Youth Volunteer corps (AUYVC). This volunteer program recruits and deploys African youth to countries and institutions seeking specialized expertise. Our involvement extended to the curriculum development of the AUYVC program, where we conducted training for two cohorts comprising over 200 young people from across the continent. Currently, two AUYVC participants, are actively deployed to collaborate with Capacitate.
Our commitment to youth empowerment is further demonstrated through our support and coordination of young people’s engagement in significant events such as the 17th African Heads of State Summit, The African Youth Forum. Additionally, we have crafted persuasive, evidence- based publications for more than two Committees of Youth Ministers (COMY), advocating for increased investment in Young People.
