Meg Edwin, MSc

Meg Edwin is an award-winning seasoned global communication strategist and former journalist, with over 15 years of experience. Driven by her passion for Social Impact, Storytelling, and Innovation, Meg honed her strategic communication skills managing client relations for a Pan-African Agency across six countries. She crafted impactful communication, stakeholder, and media engagement strategies for Multinationals investing in Africa, including BG Group (Shell), Acacia Mining, Pan-African Energy, Rift Valley Energy and others.

Transitioning into the development sector, Meg led communications for multi-million-dollar USAID-funded initiatives in agribusiness and youth economic empowerment. An ardent advocate for youth development, she authored the USAID/Feed the Future Tanzania Advancing Youth Impact Stories Book, earning her the prestigious inaugural PR Excellence Award in 2022 from the Public Relations Society of Tanzania (PRST). Meg’s impactful award-winning photography was featured at the USAID YouthPower Annual Learning Network Meeting in Washington, DC in 2020. Additionally, she has provided leadership in strategic communications for the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), overseeing the EU funded Digital4Tanzania project. 

Beyond her professional endeavors, Meg actively engages in community service, volunteering on boards for various development organizations locally in Tanzania and globally. Recognized by the Chevening Secretariat in 2016 for her substantial contributions to UK charities, she was honored with the prestigious Chevening Gold Award. In her current role as a Global Communication Consultant, Meg leverages her expertise to instigate meaningful change and amplify impactful narratives. Holding a BA in Journalism from the United States International University (USIU-A) in Nairobi, Kenya, and an MSc in Corporate Social Responsibility and Energy from the Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Aberdeen, Scotland, Meg embodies a unique blend of experience and passion for transformative communication.
