Capacitate spearheaded the development of a unique children’s project, “Bringing the Lines,” aimed at bringing art closer to both refugee and Tanzanian children. This initiative involved sending artists to Nyarugusu refugee camp and nearby Tanzanian communities to teach art. The culmination of the project was an inspiring exhibition held at the Ujamaa Art Gallery in Dar es salaam. The exhibition showcased paintings, a children’s coloring book, and postcards created from the artwork, all auctioned to support the cause. Capacitate managed the creation of all content and publications, coordinated and prepared the program and financial proposal. The proceeds from the exhibition were allocated towards purchasing art equipment for the children who actively participated in the project, empowering them to continue exploring their artistic talents
